Where did they go?

They say misery loves company, but it's not true. I'm not any more comforted by the thought that there are many many many more people out of work. I go from blog to blog and find all these people who also are looking, waiting, wondering...when is that phone going to ring? When will that job offer come? Where else can I send my resume?

I thought it would have happened by now. I knew the economy was tough. I knew that with all the dotcoms going under, it would be a while before I found something. But I didn't think it would take this long. And it hasn't happened yet. I'm out of options. I sent resumes to all the places that didn't even have openings posted. Most of them are no longer in operation anyway... Where did all these jobs go? Last year there were PAGES of computer job listings. There were recruiters that were fighting each other over the opportunity to talk to anyone who spoke geek. Where are they now?
