Laughter or Tears?

We have a central laundry room within our apartment complex. Often, people leave magazines to read while waiting the last few minutes for a wash. Most of them are not anything that I'd subscribe to, but it helps to pass the time and there's always something interesting in one or two.

Today's article of interest was about making children laugh (at any age). It covered the different types of things that children laugh about. It was interesting and I related it to children I have known at those ages. It was the last part that struck a chord in me >>

Children don't understand sarcasm. If you use sarcasm with a child, they won't get it and will only feel confused and stupid.
