Construction Begins

Okay...grab your hard hat and watch your step over the next few days. I'll be moving things around and getting organized. Tonight was the first step towards getting all that accomplished. I [finally] upgraded to 2.64...

I also updated the "Pages Devoured" stats and the list of books read. Yes, I finished another computer book - the Information Architecture book from this post... I loooooved that book. Ya gotta love any book that mentions Kekule -

I also cleaned up my MT Blogs tonight. Blogs that weren't being used were deleted. No sense in having that stuff around to clutter cyberspace. Somebody else could be using those electrons...

Speaking of using electrons ~ I've been reflecting on an exchange I had today with a user. There have been a number of people that I have tried to encourage to use a blog (or at least find out what they're about). Some have taken to it and others haven't. There have been a number of people that I really thought would take to blogging - and they didn't. (My mom, for one...) But, as I was working on something today, I showed someone the page (not this one; another page). She looked at me and asked, "how do I put something there?" You could have knocked me over with a feather. I said, "you go to a page and log in, copy and paste the information into a box, hit save and it automatically shows up in the list and on the page." She said, "I'd like to try that tomorrow." OMG! I set her up with a username and password. Tomorrow I give her the URL and show her how to post. I would have never suspected that she would have an interest in it. I like pleasant surprises like that...
