Switching and stuff

Yes, I passed the switching exam! Wheeeeeeeeee.... *does happy dance*

Three more and I'll be a CCNP. So I took a few nights off and watched Babylon 5... I have the entire first season on DVD. Well, actually, I've had it for a while and was studying too much to watch it. So I finished it off this evening. Such a number of good stories. I found myself picking apart scenes and themes while watching the episodes... I've also been kicking around a few story ideas in my head for several months now. Mostly, it's been for my internal amusement. But, I would like to carve out some time to put a few sci-fi short stories down in electrons... I can already see that I'm going to have to schedule writing time in order to make it happen. [Internal dialogue: You can't even set aside time to do laundry on a regular basis. How are you going to set aside writing time? Hey, maybe that'll tick me off enough to dig in my heels and make it happen...]

Speaking of new things... Joel and Barbara [of a Faire Wedding] had a baby this weekend!!! Barbara went in for a checkup on Saturday and the doctor told her that she was going to stay and have a C-section. She gets out of the hospital tomorrow -- with her new baby girl. The baby's name is Amelia Esther and she's sooooooo cute! They put her in my arms and let me rock her - and she fell fast asleep. Well, maybe it was the routing tables that I was explaining to her... I don't know.

Anyway, I'll be working on the page updates and upgrades starting tomorrow. I promise. Before Enterprise. And after it's over. Okay...so I'm a sci-fi fanatic... Shoot me. But, you have to use a phaser and it has to be set on stun, okay?
