And today I find out ... that my list of credentials has grown yet again. Yipee. I am now ITIL Foundation Certified v3.
It's a big focus at my current employer. I noticed that everybody at Corporate was gung ho about this stuff. It's basically what we already do - ITIL is embedded in all our processes. So when the opportunity to take the Awareness and then the Foundations class (along with the exam at the end), I put in for it.
I can't exactly say that it was the most exciting class... the material is pretty much outside my interests. But, the class was taught well and the instructor made it as interesting as possible. So, I plowed my way through it and took the test. It was a 'paper' test so I had to wait until today to find out -- I passed!
It's not exactly anything that I would have sought out on my own. But it was available. And it covered what we do anyway (so that made it a bit easier). And now I have something on my resume that's probably more useful that I realize at this point. I guess only time will tell.
