What a weekend...

Well, our hopes for a fun-filled weekend were cut short by my old nemesis...the spider.

Tracy got a spider bite on her arm last night after we came home from the movie. She was sitting at my computer when she noticed it, but is unsure if she got bit in the theater, in the car, or at my computer desk. The area is swollen, red, hot and hard. It just kept getting bigger and bigger.

I took her to the Emergency Room and they gave her a shot of Benadryl. Benadryl puts her to sleep very quickly. She was loopy as a loon. Luckily I was able to keep a conversation running to keep her somewhat alert until we got home. She has slept most of her weekend away (poor pooh). It's still swollen and red, so we're keeping an eye on it (and her temp).
