Borden B&B

This post is a little late because it took some time to find this place... Yes, I'm actually running out the door every hour or so and snapping off pics of the local area.

This is the Borden House -- which is now a Bed and Breakfast. Yes, you can actually sleep in the house where the murders occurred! (Do you want to?)

You will find this lovely B&B in Fall River, MA....

Wow! THE Borden house? I was just telling David about it last night. I can't remember why the rhyme cam up but he didn't realise it was based on a true story. If I remember right she was acquitted?

Yes, it is THE Borden house. And she was acquitted...but only in the legal sense. The town still shunned her for the rest of her days (according to the web site: http://www.lizzie-borden.com/html/information.html )

I also heard (from a Fall River native) that her gravestone is around here somewhere... Hmmmm....

Hummmm it would be interesting to hear the story behind this building ~ wonder if the B&B ever thought of having one of those "Murder Mystery" weekends since an actaul murder happened in the house. You know a mystery to be solved surrounding the actual events for those who know nothing of the history!!!
