Down

From higher to lower
A fall to the bottom
At a lower value or rate
From earlier to latter
The TV has a lesser volume
In a calmer, less active state
From greater to lesser
In toward the ground
An earnest application
On paper or in a book
Confined to bed with illness
To the point of submission
Away with! Cease!
Drink in one gulp
Defeat in a game
A portion of the price
That you put in cash
At delivery or purchase time
Football wants a first
Baseball wants three
Young bird wants his second coat.
