You are listening to the Herbal Garden Meditation. It is a guided meditation, which involves a deep level of relaxation and should never be used in a moving automobile.
It is structured to gently guide your awareness through the process of relaxation, induce a higher state of consciousness, and guide you to the herbs, fruits, flowers and vegetables that your body needs and desires to maintain and enhance its current state of health. This meditation works best when seated in a large, comfortable chair, but can be used in any position that is comfortable for you.
Now, I want you to close your eyes, and begin to breathe slowly and deeply. Inhale for a silent count of four, hold your breath for as long as you comfortably can, and exhale slowly and completely.
Inhale slowly through the nose, holding your breath, and then exhale completely through slightly parted lips. Breathe in, taking in new and fresh ideas, and holding them in the heart area. And now breathe out, releasing all stress and anxiety.
And continue to hold this deep breathing, so that your body begins to release and relax. And in the future, prior to each meditative session, do three minutes of this deep and relaxing breathing before you begin.
Now, slow down your mind, and clear away all outside thoughts and focus on the sound of my voice. If any distractions should appear, gently brush them aside and return your concentration to the sound of my voice.
And I want you to imagine standing on a large, solid rock in the middle of a gentle plain. The golden rays of the sun have warmed this rock. And this warmth begins to seep into the soles of both of your feet at the same time. And it warms and relaxes both of your feet. And this relaxing power begins to slowly work its way into your ankles, relaxing the ankles. Feel it moving up the calves, relaxing and warming you as it travels to the knees and up the thighs. And this relaxing power flows into your hips, and gently soothes and relaxes the hips. And now you begin to feel the warmth in the tips of your fingers, relaxing the fingers and hands, and moving into the wrists, gently soothing and relaxing. And it moves up your arms, relaxing the forearms, elbows and upper arms. Now feel the warmth in the base of your spine. And the relaxing power works its way up your spine, slowly and gently winding its way up your spine. And your arms, and legs, and spine feel warm and relaxed. This relaxing feeling moves on up the spine to the neck and shoulder muscles, relaxing the neck and shoulder muscles. Begin to feel the relaxing power move up your neck into your scalp, relaxing your scalp and draining down into your facial muscles. The warm and gentle power relaxes your facial muscles and your jaw is relaxed. Allow a little space between your teeth, and your throat is relaxed.
Now, I want you to imagine a point of light above that originates at the center of the universe. And from this point, I want you to imagine a ray of bright golden light that shines down upon you. Make it real with the power of your mind. And this bright, golden light enters your heart area, and you are filled to overflowing with the love and gentle energy of this bright, golden light. And you feel strong, healthy and safe.
And from a point just above your head is your Higher Self. Your Higher Self is with you always to watch over and protect you. Allow your Higher Self to slowly flow into your body and blend with you. You feel loved and safe, for your Higher Self is you and is a part of your soul self - the self that you really are - your actualized potential.
As your Higher Self blends with you in your body, you begin to feel confident, knowledgable and in harmony with all around you and in harmony with the universe. Notice how this feels in your arms and legs and spine and facial muscles. Adjust your spine if you need to so that the higher energies within you can flow freely and easily. Feel how your heart glows and vibrates in harmony with the universal life force within you.
And you can access this Higher Self state at any time. All you have to do is close your eyes and ask for your Higher Self to be one with you. And you will feel this state descend upon you which will allow you to see any situation, no matter how challenging, from this more knowledgeable position. This is a state where you can see the entire situation unfold in harmony with the will of the universe.
Now, imagine that as your Higher Self, you are sitting on a beautiful and comfortable throne in the midst of a lush garden, surrounded by fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers. And all that surrounds you is that which you need and want in your life at this moment. Only those plants that are of your highest good and beneficial for you may grow in this garden. Look around and see how beautiful and bountiful this garden has become.
And now, look at the plant closest to you. This is the one you need the most to maintain, strengthen and nourish the wonderful body that you wear now. What kind of plant is it? Notice the color, shape and attitude of the plant. The attitude of the plant is the way in which it grows. Does it reach for the sun? Does it spread out in all directions? Does it cling to the ground? Note the life-giving essence of this plant and the life force within it. If you are unclear about any aspect of the plant, ask the plant why you need it and what purpose or properties it has that it wants to impart to you. If you are quiet and patient, you will hear the plant's answer in your mind.
(Pause for the above to transpire.)
Thank the plant for the gift of its teaching. Then, look at the next plant that is nearest to you. What kind is it? Notice the color, shape and attitude of the plant. Note the life-giving essence and the life force within it. Ask why you need it and what purpose or properties it has that it wants to impart to you.

Know that this beautiful garden lies within your heart and can be called upon at any time to know what your body needs to remain healthy and strong.
And as you recall the messages and lessons, slowly and gently become aware of all that surrounds you. When you are comfortable, open your eyes and record all that you have learned from this journey. You will feel awake and refreshed.
