I crawl through the night and stumble in my blindness
For hatred borne of pain has eaten a hole in my eye
While regret of lost love has made me want to die
And peaceful slumber will show me no such kindness.
So I search for love in the middle of this madness
But I only see it in the strangers that pass me by
While my anger and frustration forces me to cry
Tears falling and echoing loudly on lonliness.
So gathering together all the courage I could find
I sowed emotion in some of the choicest places
From which sprang forth two trees of gold
Who spread their branches and became entwined
Wrapping me gently in their warm embraces
And giving me more than my little hands can hold.
