MC III

Oil the chains to rid them of their rust
Lower the drawbridge and put all parts to use
Get rid of the cobwebs and get rid of the dust
Let fly the music from the lyre of the Muse.

Prepare the hall, get set to carve the roast
Awake the trumpeters and have them blare
Fill all the goblets and lift them in toast
For a banquet feast here is extremely rare.

Hide away all that brings to mind sorrow
Open the window to dispel the stale air
The world could be mind for a song tomorrow
And love could possibly be ours to share.

Ready the castle and if the princess never shows
My broken heart shall continue, albeit in simple prose.
