Speak Louder, I Can't Hear You

I do not say "I love you" very often
If I did, you would never hear it
But because you can count the times
On one hand
The law of supply and demand
Boosts its value
I do not say "You are beautiful" very often
If I did, you would think my love is lust
But because I say just those words
Instead of "You look hot tonight"
The extra precious syllables
Make it weigh more
I do not say "I am all yours" at all
If I did, you would ask why
And because I can see you
Without using a mirror
I know the answer
To the question never asked
