The Joke's On You

Read us your list of sacrifices
And cry us a river of tears
Revealing all your "hidden" fears
You will just be thought of as "nice."

And some use "cool" as their device
Parading invented careers
You'll surely get no volunteers
Who will want to pay your high price?

But neither knows the proper tool
To win another's affection
Missing the carousel's brass ring.

For everybody loves a fool
And laughter gets their attention
With lust easily issuing.
