Tough Underwear

Don't tell me what to do
'Cause I ain't gonna listen to you
I don't want you to care
Someday I just won't be there
Take it easy, take it slow
Calm it down or I'm gonna go
I don't want to hurt you, keep out of my way
That way it'll be easier for me to stay
I've been hurt so much; can't show I care no more
That's what I'm keeping you away for
Don't depend too much, I might not come through
But I'll cheer you up when you're feeling blue
Nobody's gonna slander your name
Or their face ain't gonna look the same
Don't try to own me, that nobody can do
But if you need help, I'll give it to you
Take it any way you see fit
'Cause that's all there is of it
I'll show I care the only way I can
By lending you a helping hand
But on me don't heavily depend
'Cause I ain't too much of a friend
Don't get too close; you'll make me care too
And I just don't wanna get hurt by you.
