Life, you have been hard and could've been worse
And now it's my turn to spread your teaching
Throughout the heart, yes, that young, fresh one
That eager child with the wide eyes
Who wants to learn and demands to be shown
I'm forced to seek and devour refresher courses
As this avid student learns much too quickly
And today's experience turns into tomorrow's lesson
I embody countries and cultures and time
Counting my credits by tears and successes
Captured by the lure of being able to break new ground
In an unexplored, untamed, innocent and untainted soul
I perform my pennance and seek absolution for my jaded self
With forever only a want away I cant my head in question
Can the student teach?
And will brasso be taken to the old school bell?
