Written Just Before The Dawn

If you are not ready yet,
I will understand
Waiting patiently
For the right moment
(I hope I'm not too drunk
Over your temporary absence)
To ask you to share yourself.
Two people dancing together
Our eyes meet
We kiss
Embrace
Now dancing as one.
You are good for me
Though you think you're bad
Because you make me do things
As they should be done
The right way.
If the past should accept its place
(not trying to enter the present
or ruin the future)
I could leave it behind
For feelings I was afraid to approach -
Putting them on a shelf
Safe from harm -
Have shaken off their dormant state
And are forcing their way down my throat
So I swallow them whole
The seeds inside start to grow
Blossoming full, making me want to burst
Into poems...
