INE - AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
I quickly finished the INE course "AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner" last night. It was much shorter than the AWS training (2 hrs vs 6 hrs) and looks like it covered the same material - but it did not. The instructor [Rick Crisci] got right to the meat of the topic without a lot of fluff.
Both video courses covered the same "topics" but it seemed to me that they did so in different ways. If you can, watch both. The INE course was more in line with the content and focus of other INE courses. And to be fair - they are aimed at different audiences. The AWS training is aimed at a more general audience. Many of those viewers will be configuring these items. The INE audience is more likely to be a self-selecting group of engineers which may be more interested in the architecture of the systems.
It was really good training (and well presented) but again, I don't think it's enough material to fully prepare for that exam. I will be reading Anthony Sequira's book to fully prepare.
One really nice thing - Rick Crisci says to connect to him on LinkedIn during one of the videos. I reached out to him and he quickly responded and connected. Once you pass the Cloud Practitioner exam, he says he will endorse you for that skill on your LinkedIn profile. Nice.
