Thanks to all for your patience and well wishes while I've been sick. It's been very much appreciated.
When I was a little girl (it *did* happen you know - I was actually born, not compiled)...
Anyway - when I was little and I got sick, I used to get sent to my grandma's house for recuperation. My mom was a working single mom, so if we couldn't make it to school, we had to stay with grandma and grandpa. So this is how I know to get better: Lay on the couch watching tv. Make sure you have a box of kleenex on the table beside you and a small bag for the used ones (so you don't have to get up every time you blow your little red sore nose). Drink lots of juice and have lots of chicken soup. When you start getting chilly, have some soup. When you start feeling warm, have some orange juice. Take your medicine. Nobody likes the taste and in all the years they've been making it, all the children complaining hasn't been able to change the taste, so save your strength and swallow your cough syrup. When you're tired shut your eyes, you'll be asleep in no time. When you're not tired, draw or watch tv. Both will keep your mind off how damn miserable you feel. And read MAD magazine. It'll make you smile, it'll make you smirk, and you'll feel good, but you won't cough (you start coughing when you laugh too hard, ya know...).
Well... I have to admit, I haven't bought a MAD magazine in quite a long time. And I haven't been able to poke around in everyone else's blog for a while. I will catch up on my blog reading as soon as I feel "the full quid"... But in the meantime, I have been reading the blog comments on my blog and reading Tracy's blog and her comments (it's about all I can get through right now). Thanks for all the wonderful and funny messages. Between Hoopty and Jamie, it's like having my own MAD magazine on the screen ;)
Hoopty, you're a nut. I loved the cereal box and the comments it's generated. And Jamie, you're a sweetie. You just are. I can't wait to get back to Mercy's spot and see if she has put her photography pics up yet. And there was a conversation I was in the midst of with Deborah when my coughing fits started kicking in... I'm looking forward to romping through ScorpioLady's blog list next... Hopefully by the time I'm feeling better, Meinfeldermeister will have posted again...just a finger's crossed kinda thing. I have an easy criteria for determining when I'm "well" again - you'll know because I've finally been about to play around at /usr/bin/girl for a few hours. Geez...ya know I had to put that link way near the bottom of my link list. I get to that site and click on a link...lose an hour or two...click on another link...lose another hour or two... And a GREAT BIG hug and SMOOOCH to Christine for all her help!
Thanks again and I hope to be back writing on a regular basis again soon.
