These are the results of my calculations from the first 44 Procedures from Volume I of The Connolly Book of Numbers. I am also including my impression of each procedure. Your mileage may vary...
1) OSP = 4
This is derived from the vowels in the full name. This is supposed to be your soul's original purpose. This does not align with information that I have gleaned from other modalities. It comes from a 1 + 3 = 4. I can't see this in my life. But...if I look at just the first name...it aligns much closer to what I've found to be true. The first name is a 1 + 5 = 6.
2) OPV = 8
This is derived from the consonants of the full name. This is supposed to be how others see you. This is derived from a 3 + 5 = 8. Although this may fit (you would know more than I...), I still don't see where this comes from. Why only the consonants? I can see the vowels being special, but not the consonants. They seem like either leftovers or support for the vowels.
3) OEK = 3
This is derived from the full name -- all the letters. This is supposed to represent your goals here on earth. This is derived from a 2 + 1 = 3. I'm much more comfortable with this as a calculation. I can see where the full name (all the letters) should mean something. As I look at the meditation provided for 3, I am not so sure about the association. From looking at my life, I can see where the 3 would be what gift I was given to complete my tasks rather than the task needed to be completed.
4) CSP = 6, 7, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 1
This is derived from the vowels in your change names. I calculated a number of my "change" names. I've had a lot of nicknames and my "name" has changed many times. I can see how the vowels in each name would resonate with different numbers. It would almost be like singing a different tune... I noticed that I calculated 8 different change names. I'm only missing 2 and 8 out of the crew. I like this one. It resonates.
5) CPV = 5, 7, 5, 7, 1, 5, 5, 6
These are the numbers for the consonants for your name changes. I can at least see some consistency here. This matches the consonants above... reflecting the way the outer world sees you. Looking at the numbers, it appears that although my name changes have had inner meanings, the outer changes were not noticable. I can see this in my life - even though I still can't see the association between consonants and the outer world...
6) CEK = 2, 5, 8, 2, 6, 3, 5, 7
These are all the letters of the new name. I'm much more comfortable with this calculation...using all the letters. I'm not sure that the numbers match so well with experience, though. I also wonder where she gets the "nine months and seven days" for the change process to be completed. I haven't found that to be true. Some of these names took much longer to wear and others much shorter. One of the names comes from Basic Training (which lasts 8 weeks). During that period, I experienced major changes along with finding a "new" name.
7) PSP = 9
This is derived from the vowels of the present name. I can see this in my life now.
8) PPV = 5
This is derived from the consonants again. It maintains its outer expression.
9) PEK = 77 = 5
This is derived from all the letters of the present name. I find it odd that she mentions 11, 22, and 33, but not 77... until Vol II. She also states that HMVs are only found in the O levels...and not the P or C levels. I'm not finding that to be true. I can see that going from the birth name to the present name could produce a change that is significant. I can also see where the production of an HMV would be an indicator to you that this change was karmic/destined in nature...or at least significant enough in your life to want to take a look at it.
10) OP = 7
I am comfortable with this calculation. And I am comfortable with the association. The number is derived from the full birth date.
11) CO = 2
This comes from the day of birth. I can see this as being significant in the same way that the vowels are significant.
12) 1ET = 3
I can't see this one. She gives no basis for the derivation.
13) 2ET = 9
This comes from every letter of the first name. I can see this as having value. I can't see how it relates to an Earth Tone. I would be more comfortable with this if you compare the first name to the last name...to see how your individual number relates to your family or heritage.
14) CSB = 6
I can see the first vowel being significant. But I can't see it as a "soul beat" or having anything to do with physical health. I can more easily see the first vowel as being a key to your original expression ... who you *really* are as a soul. (And perhaps the gifts you bring with you in this incarnation to complete your purpose.)
15) KOP1 = 9
This comes from every letter of your first name. I can see this as the source of individuality. I would like to see it compared to the CSB. I would find it more useful if the CSB is the impetus to express the KOP1.
16) KOP2 = 11 = 2
This comes from the middle names. I'm not sure that the middle name is a reserve... I do agree with the way she talks about its influence depending on whether or not it's used. Since for most people it is a baptismal name, I would think it would relate to the way someone would express their spiritual nature. With some people, this is a family name... When I say "family name" I don't mean surname, but a name that is given to a child as an heirloom. In that case, I would take it to express some inherited gift (quality) of expression.
17) KOP3 = 1
This is calculated on all the letters of the last name. It is supposed to relate to traits inherited from your father. I can see this, since your last name comes from your father. I'm less sure about the connection it has with your past karma.
18) RE = 3
This calculation is based on previous calculations. I'm not sure that this relates to the "true key" to your identity as presented. I think there are other calculations that would fit the "true key" title better.
19) SV = 1
Another calculation based on previous calculations. I can't see this one being a hidden strength. Since it is based on the combination of two strong influences in your life, it would be very unlikely that it would appear domant or nonexistent.
20) AC = 11 = 2
Another combined calculation. I cannot see its derivation in meaning.
21) PT = 5
Combined calculation. I think for a "total" it should be all the letters of the name. I don't see how a combination of the "original" calculations would sum to a totality of life force.
22) IVP = 3
I'm not in line with this calculation at all. It counts the number of letters in your name. I can't see this as having significance. The number of letters does not describe their power or their flavor.
23) SS = 9
You would think of a seal as something more lasting. The signature changes -- along with the name. Perhaps it changes more than the name with some people. How could this represent something "original" instead of something current in the life?
24) LT1 = 7
I don't agree with this calculation. The derivation of the 28 years is not presented. I can see a turning point after a 9 PLC, but the 28 does not calculate in very well.
25) LT2 = 2
See LT1 above.
26) LT3 = 7
See LT1 above.
27) OCG = 11 = 2
I don't see this connection. It attempts to correlate Astrology with a calculated number. I think perhaps the Astrological number should stand on its own as a "group" influence within the Gnothology chart.
28) VM = 4
Another combined calculation. This may have been more relevant in days past when vocations were not so easily changed. Today's environment lends itself to more frequent career changes. Perhaps this should be based on change names instead of original calculations?
29) LOPP1 = 9
I don't like the LOPP and LOBS calculations. The test formula doesn't ring true for me. The formula comes from 360 = 36 = 9. I don't see this as the number of man. I see this as the number of a circle or cycle. I also think we make our own opportunities and obstacles. If the opportunities or obstacles are pre-destined (something we asked to experience in this incarnation), then I think they would present themselves in our lives when we are ready for them through our development (or lack thereof)...
30) LOPP2 = 9
See LOPP1 above.
31) LOPP3 = 9
See LOPP1 above.
32) LOPP4 = 5
See LOPP1 above.
33) LOBS1 = 5
See LOPP1 above.
34) LOBS2 = 5
See LOPP1 above.
35) LOBS3 = 0
See LOPP1 above.
36) LOBS4 = 9
See LOPP1 above.
37) PLC = 7
The calculation for this makes sense, but I'm not sure I agree with the delineation. I find it hard to believe that everyone works through each number every year. Some years a lesson is ignored. That lesson doesn't go away. It stays until you learn it. You can't just wait until a 1 year to start something.
38) IMC = 3
This calculation seems to be splitting hairs. Not everyone is on a monthly cycle. Some people are on cycles that are longer or shorter.
39) IDC = 9
Same as above.
40) RK = on chart
I can see this calculation and the Karmic Block calculations make more sense than the combined calculations.
41) KL = 2, 4, 8
I can see the 4 missing, but the 2 and the 8... I see too much of that in my life for it to be lacking.
42) KR = 6
Here's that "Number of Man" again. I don't think this calculation is effective, nor does it relate to my life.
43) PL = 3
In my life it seems to be that this is more of a present lesson than a past lesson.
44) MO = 13
This is a comparative calculation. It actually restates the original calculation. Mine turns out to be related to self-discipline. I can present people on both sides of that argument. There are those who would agree that I need more self-discipline in my life. There are others that would claim that I am self-discipline personified.
Aside from the calculations of the chart, there are some very important concepts in The Connolly Book of Numbers. The most important concept that I have learned from it (so far) is Rooting the Numbers. The meditations on the numbers are good guidance. It's an excellent starting point for your own meditations.
I find the calculations of the Gnothology chart very cumbersome. It takes too much time and effort to calculate all those aspects. I think that fewer aspects could be calculated and explored in more depth to satisfy most people's needs.
I will write further on this as I explore this matter more deeply...
