In My Heart

My love for you could never be expressed
It's bottled up inside, ready to explode
Although I know it's wrong, or is supposed to be
I'll still love you deep
In my heart.
But you must always remain free -
Free to love the one you want
I don't intend to get in the way
For I would never want to hurt you
In my heart.
And when she tears you up
Just like you know she will
I'll still be there at your side
Ready to catch you when you fall
In my heart.
Love sometimes can destroy
Making beggars out of the rich
It cripples all - young and old
But we all must fall into the trap
In our hearts.
Even though I may only watch you from afar
Better friends than enemies
Or so the wise fools say
I have to love someone, even if it's only
In my heart.
