This lighthouse is the one found at Castle Hill in Newport, Rhode Island. You can actually climb on the rocks next to it and take a shot.
The first shot is from a recent trip. If you go to the Castle Hill Inn and speak kindly to the valet, he'll let you park in their lot for a little while. The path to the lighthouse is at the end of the parking lot. It's a short and pretty walk through the woods to this lighthouse.
The second shot is from the Lighthouse Cruise. As you can imagine, the boat can't get too close to it, but it travels closer to this one than most. I used the 35-80 lens to get this shot from the boat.

This is my personal favorite. I had a wonderful time when I went and would have been hard pressed to find better company!
