Update from my sister

UPDATE:

I just received word from my friend Matt in New Orleans. He went to the residence and the door was locked. He broke in on my request and found the house to be intact. He said if anyone left it was not long ago. There was a generator sitting in the living room and a jar of mayo on the counter. It appears as though they were there recently, the mayo was not rancid.

Matt will be leaving a note and returning tomorrow to check on them again. The note will read that the family is concerned and willing to do what we can to help. If they need somewhere to stay we are welcoming them. He is also going to the hospital down the street to see if either of them are patients of the local hospital.
Matt will be calling me back in about one hour to report additional info.

It is a relief to know they are not in the home sick or unable to get help.

A generator? Gee...guess they thought of everything - except a means of communication! Matt forgot to tell them: If you're okay, start running. Lori has a frying pan in her hand...
